Janet L. Fritsch to retire
Spring-Ford Area High School administrative assistant, better known as athletic secretary, Janet L. Fritsch is retiring at the end of the 2010 school year. She will be leaving her job as of July 1.
Fritsch has been a valuable asset to current Spring-Ford athletic director Mickey McDaniel and his predecessors as well as other members of the Spring-Ford staff for 30 years. Prior to that time, she spent 10 years serving the Boyertown School District.
Fritsch has assumed a variety of duties, including keeping track of the schedule of the many scholastic events that are held throughout the school year and her voice was heard on the Spring-Ford Hotline.
Fritsch was recognized during Tuesday night’s Spring-Ford Senior Athletic Banquet held at The Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia.
Her work in a variety of areas, including with local members of the media covering sports at Spring-Ford and the rest of the Pioneer Athletic Conference, will be missed.
